Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These terms govern your use of the Vessel Class Finder API ("the Service"), operated by WeAreFabbrik. By creating an account or using the API, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service Does

Vessel Class Finder provides a REST API that serves vessel classification data sourced from publicly available IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) publications. We aggregate, structure, and refresh this data weekly.

2. Data Accuracy

The data served by this API is derived from publicly available sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data returned by the API.

This API is not a substitute for official records from classification societies (DNV, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, etc.). For decisions involving safety, compliance, or financial risk, always verify against the authoritative source.

3. Your Account

4. Usage Limits

API usage is metered and limited based on your plan:

When you exceed your monthly limit, the API returns a 429 status code. Usage resets on the first of each calendar month.

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the API will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WeAreFabbrik shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or 100 EUR, whichever is greater.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and API access at any time if:
